Position Description: 

The primary responsibility of the RDC-Dispatcher is to bridge the communication gap between the mixing center, our Partner Carriers and the sales DC’s by providing constant communication as pertains to equipment needs, pickup and delivery schedules and service failures and exceptions, this position also supports the administrative efforts of the Mixing Center operation by assisting the Office Manager, prepare necessary documents for daily outbound shipments, coordinate daily equipment needs with logistics company, daily communication with DC’s to coordinate delivery appointments, process branch exception reports related to house truck OS&D, process & key receiving documents to include exception reporting, maintain carrier on-time delivery reports.

Primary Responsibilities:                                                        

  • Prepare necessary documents for daily outbound shipments
  • Coordinate daily equipment needs with logistics company
  • Daily communication with DC’s to coordinate delivery appointments
  • Process branch exception reports related to house truck OS&D
  • Process & key receiving documents to include exception reporting
  • Maintain carrier on-time delivery reports
  • Generate labels used in daily warehouse functions
  • Answer phone and direct calls
  • Perform Traffic Coordinator duties in his/her absence
  • Assist Office Manager as needed

Experience(s) that Best Prepares You: 

  • Education:  High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience:  Computer literacy is required. Exposure to Word and Excel is preferable.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the company, in its discretion, may find appropriate and acceptable.
