Position Description: 

This position is primarily responsible for enterprise level web-development for proprietary eCommerce solution enhancements & customizations, & Content management enhancements, the Back-end eCommerce Developer is responsible for code development using the Java, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, also responsible for building & extending REST APIs, designing, architecting & implementing flexible/scalable/reusable code using best practices and current web development standards, must demonstrate and build an understanding of web application performance, scalability, reliability & security.

  • Integration response times (e.g. retrieval and display of data, response times for API transactions) for transactions sent and received via REST Web Services & APIs.
  • Completion of training quarterly to keep current on development protocols and standards relevant to solutions that fall within span of assigned responsibilities.

Experience(s) that Best Prepares You:             

  • Education:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Experience:  4+ years of web engineering experience.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Company, in its discretion may find appropriate and acceptable.

Key Competencies:

  • Expert in Java, JSP, JavaScript, AJAX
  • Solid understanding of Object Oriented Design
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience developing data-driven user interfaces
  • Experience implementing Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) using SOAP and/or RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency in various Java frameworks, libraries, front-end technologies & tools (JSP, Servlets, spring, Struts, Hibernate, JavaScript, jQuery, ExtJS, AJAX, DOJO etc.)
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience working in a fast-paced Scrum environment
  • Proficiency working with Oracle DB & integrating with Oracle ERP
  • Proficiency working with open source frameworks such as Apache, JBOSS etc.
  • Experience with JSP/JSTL
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum experience
  • Understanding of Message-Oriented Middleware products (Oracle AQ, Active MQ, Apache Camel) and Application security design
  • Experience with mobile & social development / integrations.

  • Travel required:  25+% of the time, travel throughout the U.S. and will often require overnight stays.
