Position Description: 

The Sr. Developer is a key delivery role in digital application development team, responsible to develop and implement complex web applications. The primary responsibility is to provide technical expertise to design and develop code to meet functional requirements in ATD eCommerce application portfolio. Works with cross functional teams to define technical requirements for new development and any support related changes. Develop high-level system design diagrams for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and develop applications and web services using Hybris to support business needs
  • Design and develop support fixes, small enhancements and coding for major projects.
  • Complies with and demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology for assigned projects and tasks. 
  • Ability to develop efficient and readable code using current software environment
  • Effective utilization of the change management process
  • Works with internal and external vendor teams on all support/enhancement/project related activities
  • Ability to understand the software needs of a large variety of business processes
  • Able to demonstrate effective coding and process management skills to less  experienced analysts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Product owners, QE, EA, PE, DevOps, Security, etc.).
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle methodology (SDLC) like Waterfall, Agile, and others for assigned projects and tasks.

Qualifications

Required

  • Education:  Collage Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field. 
  • Experience:  :  8+ years of Software Engineer/Developer or other similar technology position, which includes hands-on experience with production support, incident response, bug fixes major and minor enhancements

Preferred

  • Successful track record of developing quality software applications

Technical & Domain Specific

  • 3+ years of experience with Hybris or other similar eCommerce/Digital technologies
  • 5+ years of experience developing and supporting eCommerce/Digital IT solutions
  • Design, develop and implement unit and scenario testing for existing code base and for new functionality under development
  • Strong experience of the construction/use of XML data sources
  • Good understanding of Web Services protocols such as REST, SOAP and API design for extensibility and portability
  • Ability to create SQL queries involving the joining of multiple tables
  • Knowledge of frontend technologies such as  HTML, Angular and NodeJS
  • Strong experience working in a DevOps and CI/CD environment
  • Strong understanding of IT Solutions Design and coding principles
  • Understanding of SOA principles
