Position Description: 

• Implements, improves, and manages the release process for changes through development, test, and production environments. • Develops the release calendar and communicates any revisions to key stakeholders. • Ensures timely and accurate communication to all stakeholders about current and future releases.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates Release Activities across multiple teams to ensure release milestones are met.
  • Measures and monitors progress to ensure releases are delivered on schedule.
  • Identifies and manages risks and dependencies that effect release scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Leads scoping effort and definition of each release.
  • Actively manages transition from QA to UAT.
  • Communicates all commitments and changes including scope, requirements, and schedule.
  • Ensures release candidates are compliant with Change Management Process and have obtained proper sign-off/approval.
  • Continually work towards improving the release process.
  • Participate in CAB Meetings to discuss release scope or risks/issues

Experience(s) that Best Prepares You:          

  • Education:     
    • Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university required
  • Experience:
    • The candidate should have 5-7 years of Project or Program Management experience with SDLC projects.
    • Previous Production Support with emphasis on transitioning releases to operational support.
    • Demonstrated ability to identify, manage, and communicate risks

  • Strong analytical and project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to manage SDLC projects effectively to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Ability to collaborate with and obtain consensus among both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify and manage risks to scope or schedule for each release.
  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction
  • Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Understanding of regulator, legal and compliances issues for SOX and audit functions.
  • Excellent leadership capabilities and communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to be proactive and work well under pressure.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Communicate Effectively:  Communicate clearly and concisely and adjust communication style to improve performance.

  • Travel required:  Occasional travel to other ATD offices may be required.
