Position Description:

The Program Manager of Sales Initiatives is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and execution of the strategic sales vision of ATD by creation, development, delivery and evolution of enablement tools, programs and coaching that enhance the frontline execution of sales processes both globally and within the business segments this role supports.

 What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Build strong business relationships with suppliers to improve online sales, traffic and conversion through analyzing, identifying and improving brand-specific promotions and online content
  • Lead the strategic use of communications to drive awareness and employee engagement to drive our business priorities
  • Provide leadership for how content is created, managed, stored and distributed to our salesforce
  • Responsible for supporting all manufacturer programs and select ATD marketing programs
  • Responsible for understanding customer behavior, building strategic plans and leading presentations with supplier and merchandising partners to gain alignment on planned initiatives
  • Responsible for bringing innovative sales initiatives and program solutions to the salesforce across ATD, including new products and narratives
  • Leads creation of project plans and aligns with merchandising and supplier to drive execution.
  • Create and manage program prospecting and compliance tools
  • Create and maintain Consumer Rebate Guide
  • Manage all Sales Force Effectiveness marketing program/promo needs
  • Works with Marketing and SCOE Team to support all sales initiatives
  • Responsible for creating dealer equity statements
  • Support Manufacturer Programs and Promotional content including reporting and analytics
  • Assist in creation of new promotional incentives
  • Drive the creation of the Circle of Champions structure, tracking, and inquiries
  • Lead Activate with ongoing training and program management
  • Integral partner in the roll out and constant refinement of the SFE model
  • Conceive, create and execute innovative marketing campaigns to deliver revenue growth, customer retention, and increased consumer engagement and sales across all marketing channels.                         

You will need the following to succeed at ATD:

At a minimum:

  • Education:  BA/BS in related field is required
  • Experience: 5+ years of sales enablement or sales development experience; prior experience working in a support capacity with a vendor selling offerings and services in a high-tech business is a plus
    • 5+ years of experience in writing detailed business requirements (user stories) for medium-large sized Capitol projects ($1 million+)
    • 5+ years of experience in developing detailed business cases
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Company, in its discretion may find appropriate and acceptable.

  • Strong leadership experience with ability to lead through change
  • Excellent at designing and implementing solutions and initiatives
  • Ability to develop complex process wiring for job roles and responsibilities
  • Superior understanding of the selling process and consultative selling
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address root cause
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and proactive management of responsibilities
  • Ability to identify and develop talent
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative relationship with key partners
  • Excellent communicator
  • Advanced in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ATD systems including CRM
