We are looking for a Merchandising Manager under the leadership of the VP of Merchandising (Brand Leader), who will be responsible for driving the execution of Merchandising Strategy across their assigned brands or category. This person will work cross functionally across Merchandising and with functional partners in Marketing, Pricing, Field Sales, and Supply Chain. This position plays a key role ensuring the communication and activation of Merchandising strategy and tactics.

 What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Drive Merchandising strategies in assigned brands/category to achieve organizational objectives
  • Interact with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Pricing to drive brand/category strategy.
  • Operational responsibility for execution of vendor strategy, including managing cost, evaluating price files, and new product introduction.
  • Perform Product Change Requests and Invoice Price Variances to ensure proper product set up and cost integrity in the system.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to increase sales, profit, and inventory efficiency for assigned brands/category.
  • Issue resolution for assigned brands/category
  • Assist the Brand Leader in creating and managing vendor relationships
  • Support buying decisions with analysis and evaluation for assigned Brands/Categories
  • Support the Brand Leader in the development of pricing strategies
  • Provide support in the development and evaluation of proposed marketing programs for assigned categories/brands
  • Provide oversight of product launches to ensure cross functional execution across Merchandising and cross functional team

You will need the following to succeed at ATD:

At a minimum:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related business discipline (Business, Marketing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain)
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in vendor management, negotiation, or merchandising
  • Systematic problem solver who understands the value of leveraging analytical insights to drive innovative solutions
  • Strong ability to collaborate with multiple departments and functions
  • Demonstrated decision-making ability
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Ability to partner and influence
  • Highly effective written/verbal communication and collaborative skills
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Experience in the Wheel and Tire industry
  • Negotiation skills
  • Merchant and/or Manufacturing experience
  • B2B and B2C experience
  • MBA
