Position Description: 

The Manager, Retail Marketing Strategy plays a critical role in delivering marketing insights, strategies and plan recommendations in order to drive consumer traffic to Tire Pros retail locations. This role provides strategic marketing expertise and support to the Retail Account Manager to deliver on the marketing elements of the Tire Pros value proposition to the franchisees. The Manager, Retail Marketing Strategy identifies the marketing strategies that will best position the franchisee to achieve their stated business objectives. This role supports the franchisee’s local marketing efforts by leveraging data driven marketing strategies to implement digital and/or traditional tactics to drive consumer traffic, while building awareness and relevancy for the Tire Pros brand.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop specialized marketing strategies for franchisees aligned with their business objectives and annual budget; Utilize the digital and/or traditional tactics necessary to drive results.
  • Generate analytical insights and forward-looking opportunities for enhancing digital marketing strategies and delivering efficient solutions across franchise
  • Perform necessary research and analytical modeling to identify, evaluate, and implement marketing solutions to help drive traffic to retail locations and improve overall ROI
  • Leverage strategies that drive measurable traffic to franchisees’ web properties and retail location, while building awareness and relevancy of the Tire Pros brand in the marketplace
  • Work with the retail marketing team to develop local and regional marketing plans while managing to annual plan performance goals and budgets; Develop reports to socialize performance and opportunities with key stakeholders
  • Own media strategy, architecture, visual identity, and creative execution to maintain and/or improve the market position of Tire Pros franchise brand and individual franchise locations
  • Act as liaison across departments to obtain & share insight and understanding into franchisees’ local DMAs and their consumers’ purchase behavior to help drive effective campaigns that will meet businesses objectives
  • Identify opportunities within the marketing strategy and retail operations groups and present solutions
  • Leverage the scale of the national franchise network to drive synergies across marketing vendors that can provide services across many franchisee locations, tied back to achieving their business objectives 
  • Work with retail support team to continuously optimize strategies and plan, to maximize ROI
  • Establish regular meeting cadence to drive the marketing agenda both with the retail support team, as well as the franchisees (weekly call planning & follow-up calls, quarterly marketing performance reviews, etc.)
  • Consistently deliver insights to guide future strategies, tactics and budget allocation
  • Partner with retail & marketing operations teams, and other cross-functional teams across the organization to ensure campaigns are effectively executed and business objectives are met
  • Leverage analytical tools to report on marketing plan performance at the local and regional level
  • Project-manage cross-functional teams and counsel executives to ensure organizational alignment
  • Present marketing strategies, in writing and verbally, to franchisees as well as members of the internal Tire Pros team
  • Create reporting/visual templates for dealer marketing campaigns and coordinate tracking on progress to communicate to franchisees how marketing strategies are meeting business objectives

Direct Report Position Title(s)



  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in marketing role; Quantifiable results delivering digital marketing campaigns; Retail and/or franchise marketing experience preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to support change management and the development of franchised organizations

  • Work environment:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Travel required:  +/- 10% of the time, with travel throughout the US and possibly Canada, which will require overnight stays.  Travel could include both automobile and air travel.  Travel to the Field Support Centers, vendor locations, and other destinations will be required.
