Position Description: 

The primary responsibility of the Marketing Promotions Specialist is as follows: Support Auto Dealer Channel by coordinating and tracking marketing and promotional programs; handling support and ad-hoc information requests

Primary Responsibilities:                                                                     

  • Tracks promotional programs, prepares performance analytics and makes recommendations to improve promotional efforts
  • Develops standardized presentations, sales bulletins, and other marketing materials for assigned promotional programs
  • Maintains expertise on tire manufacturer marketing programs
  • Assists Program Manager and Product Analyst with key month end reports
  •  Searches out and determines relevant items to post to company’s intranet
  • Creates and maintains department databases
  • Consistent and timely execution of field communications
  • Possess excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to carry out oral and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Experience(s) that Best Prepares You:                                    

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree from 4-year college
  • Experience: Minimum 2 year of Marketing experience
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the company, in its discretion, may find appropriate and acceptable

Key Competencies:

  • Sound understanding of marketing principles
  • Excellent face to face and telephone communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills, ability to multi-task
  • Functional knowledge of the use of personal computer and/or laptop
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Business Intelligence (BI).  Knowledge and experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator a plus.
  • Self-motivated, confident, energetic and creative
  • Demonstrate respect:  handle all business matters ethically and in full compliance with American Tires Distributors “Code of Conduct.”

  • Work environment:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Travel required:  Minimal
