Position Description: 

The primary responsibility of the Learning Architect is to work with business partners, learning & development and subject matter experts to create, implement, deliver, maintain, and measure learning/performance solution programs. Include responsibility for designing and developing learning solutions on time and within budget in partnership with the business. The position consults with subject matter experts to provide course content and training curriculum. The Learning Architect will track performance, measure training outcomes and/or assist in conducting assessment and analysis to identify new development needs and recommends training methods accordingly. Additionally, this position will work with L&D leadership, business partners and vendors on raw course and program material from multiple sources into e-learning platform while using established learning and framework architectures. In addition, the Learning Architect will administer e-learning site, programs, and content while evaluating and making improvements that address root cause issues to drive business performance. Successful candidates should be comfortable in taking lead to work with the client to recommend solutions, learning needs, and strategic performance assessments to support and ensure program success.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Utilize performance-consulting techniques to engage with the business and across functional groups to drive alignment and execution while professionally interacting and nurturing relationships with customers, partners, and cross-functional colleagues.
  • Create complex & sustainable curriculum design and learning solutions to lead the onboarding, delivery, analysis, and execution of learning programs & solutions configured to ensure they meet learner and business expectations, to include analysis and documentation of learning requirements.
  • Utilize or develop a variety of unique and specialized instructional strategies that improve performance and effectiveness of ATD workforce.
  • Self-starter with an ability to drive projects to successful and timely conclusions while collaborating cross-functionally, multi-tasking and managing multiple project for best-fit learning solutions and marshal needed support from internal stakeholders; comfortable within an environment that presents a high level of ambiguity.
  • Strong business acumen to continually cultivate knowledge and understanding of how ATD operates holistically, the ability to make good judgments and timely decisions that affect learning outcomes.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning and organizing with the ability to multi-task and meet project deadlines.
  • Review and assess reporting and KPI analytics, gather analysis obtained from training programs including processing training feedback to make recommendations on learning solution improvement.
  • Working closely with multiple centers of expertise to influence and leverage solutions to integrate into learning program design.
  • Communicate and track learning requirements and needs for ATD training projects while demonstrating the ability to complete projects on time and with limited supervision.
  • Create and design solutions to help scope, deploy, and refine learning solutions and applications to lead organization wide learning capacity.
  • Apply cutting edge L&D methods and processes that enable best-fit solutioning for learning needs to effectively manage the learning experience of the modern worker.
  • Strong acumen in technology capability such as online b2b/c learning, analytics tool, data and related.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from 4-year College or university in Education; Instructional Design; Learning & Development, Organizational Development; Human Resources; Business or related experience.
  • Experience with instructional design (e.g. ADDIE, SAM) with application of adult learning theory demonstrated in instruction design techniques. Preference is HPT Performance Consulting model.
  • 5 to 7 years of learning & development experience with design-creation of organization programs and curricula using various modalities while using e-learning as the delivery method including objective and soft skills. MicroLearning a plus
  • 5 to 7 years of experience with learning delivery, program implementation, program evaluation, and change management principles with experience in influencing sponsors, stakeholders across a range of levels; collaborating with project team members as a team player.
  • Exceptional decision making and problem-solving skills; strong program management experience and excellent at follow up and attention to detail
  • Design thinking background: data-driven, learner-centered researcher; concept prototyping; define and analyze metrics; apply insights to improve programs and solutions.
  • Experience in authoring and developing modern, digital learning pathways and blended learning approaches especially Micro-Learning
  • 5+or more years of experience in the following authoring and editing tools:
    • Computer based training software — Advanced level of knowledge of professional design tools, Articulate 360 Suite (Storyline, Rise, Replay and Peek); Micro-Learning design focused.
    • Desktop publishing software — Adobe InDesign
    • Graphics or photo imaging software — Adobe Creative Cloud, Illustrator, Photoshop; Techsmith Snagit
    • Video creation and editing software — Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition; Vyond; Techsmith Camtasia
    • Data and Measurement – Microsoft Excel with familiarity with basic and intermediate formulas for reporting and analysis such as pivot tables. Knowledge of advanced formulas such as vlookup, concatenate, and related a plus
    • Learning Management – General LMS setup and deployment knowledge. Axonify system administrator knowledge a plus.
