The Learning Architect will be a part of the ATD Learning & Development team, and will be responsible for end-to-end design, development, and implementation of learning products and streamlining processes required to inform our Sales Organization around products to enable their selling capabilities. The Learning Architect – Digital Technology will leverage all technological assets inclusive of ATD online, and our suite of highly enabled best in class digital technology platforms to enable our sellers in creating great customer service. The Learning Architect is the subject matter expert in digital product design and development and learning theories leveraging our state of the art microlearning platform – Axonify. As the Learning Architect – Digital Technology, you will oversee several important areas that are critical to our business. You will unlock the sales potential of our sellers by enhancing their ability to sell a differentiated customer experience based on data and analytics.

Learning Architect will possess a solid understanding of behavioral science, data analytics and marketing, in order to deliver a powerful user experience.  What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead the architecture and design for solutions that drive our modern sales workforce. 
  • Integrate directly with business to architect solutions in support of our industry leading set of commerce tools built to facilitate customized B2B ordering and optimized B2C experiences.
  • Support strategic initiatives that optimize how our customers search, locate and purchase products via our ATD Mobile app.
  • Partner with business to support ATDConnect, our approach to how ATD enables fully integrated customer solutions.
  • Support sellers so they may consult with our customers on how to optimize their business.
  • Ensure our next generation of sellers are able to meet the needs of our customers by leveraging advanced analytics tools and platforms. 
  • Maintain knowledge of assigned product portfolio, leading efforts to identify, plan for, and execute continuous improvement to learning solutions.
  • Conducts learning needs analyses and devise learning solutions to ensure those needs are met.
  • In support of these outcomes, plans and facilitates program design and development meetings as needed to address marketing research and analysis, regulatory issues, industry trends, competitive landscape, unique differentiators, instructional framework options, and core themes and topics for product development.
  • Assure final deliverables meet or exceed established accuracy, consistency, and quality standards.
  • Work with project managers to establish project management plans that ensure product launch dates are met and ensure appropriate resourcing of all projects; ensures project team is familiar with program design and development design philosophy.
  • Follow an agile development methodology.
  • Create content in alignment with data analytics teams in order to train on digital tools, b2b sales process, analytics, etc.
  • Develop content to include ATD’s micro learning platform, webinars, etc.
  • Design content so that it may scale across all necessary learning paths by leveraging a universal design approach.
  • Create tools for leaders that allow leaders to coach and hold sellers accountable.
  • Measure, analyze and create reporting for sales leaders in the field.
  • Work along sider our sales team focusing on digital selling.
  • Without exception, bring a high-energy and passionate outlook to the role and has a strong sense of ownership and impact orientation.

You will need the following to succeed at ATD:

At a minimum:

  • Experience with digital business solutions from B2B/C platforms and robust tools – analytic tools for insight driven selling and digital supply chain tools
  • Experience in developing content across many different learning modalities to include micro learning, webinars, classroom, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Designer, Adult Learning, Multimedia Technologies or similar
  • 5+ years’ experience as an Instructional Designer/Developer or similar with a high level of knowledge in developing multi-media enriched learning content for large corporate training programs, including training on business systems and applications
  • Experience with instructional design (e.g. ADDIE, SAM) with application of adult learning theory demonstrated in instruction design techniques. Preference is HPT Performance Consulting model.
  • 5 to 7 years of learning & development experience with design-creation of organization programs and curricula using various modalities while using e-learning as the delivery method including objective and soft skills. Micro Learning a plus
  • Experience with video capturing/recording/editing (e.g. Camtasia 9, Snagit) and audio recording/editing (e.g. Audition)

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Experience with digital adoption technology learning solutions is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of training for Salesforce Lightning and related ecosystem is highly desirable
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address root cause
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and proactive management of responsibilities
  • Ability to understand business and learning data and leverage to create learning solutions
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative relationship with key partners
