Position Description: 

The primary responsibility of the Instructional Designer is to work with various vendors, business partners an subject matter experts to create implement, deliver, maintain, and measure learning and performance solution programs. Include responsibility for executing learning programs on time and within budget in partnership with the business. The position consults with subject matter experts to provide course content and training curriculum. The Instructional Designer will track performance, measure training outcomes and/or assist in conducting assessment and analysis to identify new development needs and recommends training methods accordingly. Additionally, this position will work with L&D leadership and business partners to raw course and program material from multiple sources into e-learning platform while using established learning and framework architectures. In addition, Administer e-learning site, programs, and content while evaluating and making improvements that address root cause issues to drive business performance. Successful candidates should be comfortable in taking lead to recommend solutions, learning needs, and strategic performance assessments to support and ensure program success.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and develop instructional materials and products for instructor led, blended and/or technology-based courses
  • Gather, analyze and convert raw course and program material from multiple sources into e-learning platform while using established learning and framework architectures.
  • Administer e-learning site, programs, and content while evaluating and making improvements that address root cause issues to drive business performance.  
  • Assist with taking lead to recommend solutions, learning needs, and strategic performance assessments to support and ensure program success by developing and executing comprehensive program delivery strategies.
  • Identifies and coordinates program and project dependencies, interdependencies, risks, and issues, proactively responding to anything that may negatively impact scope, resourcing, budgets and costs, schedules, delivery, learner experience or engagement, or impact
  • Creation of a catalogue of appropriate e-learning courses covering all necessary positions and functions while working with other L&D staff to leverage existing content and programs if possible to ensure efficiency and consistency in solutions offerings.
  • Recognizes and reacts to indicators of content and/or solution obsolescence up to and including evolution in business needs. Timely informs L&D leadership on recommended solutions and recommendations while taking actions once approved.
  • Conducts and maintains due diligence on vendors and business partners in the preparation, transition, and maintenance of current programs to a into e-learning platform.
  • Builds consensus and collaborates with team members to accomplish best solutions for program.
  • Leverages technology and learning resources to ensure meaningful and effective learning experiences for program participants.
  • Gathers and analyzes quantitative and qualitative data to monitor the effectiveness of a portfolio of learning solutions and/or programs
  • Solves implementation and delivery problems using expertise in learning and development, company processes, procedures, and functions, and knowledge of vendor / consultant partner capability
  • Understands fundamental change management communication strategies while planning and partnering with Change Management team for training program implementation and delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from 4-year College or university in Education; Instructional Design; Organizational, Development; Human Resources; Business or related field.
  • Experience with instructional design (e.g. ADDIE, SAM) with application of adult learning theory demonstrated in instruction design techniques. Preference is HPI model.
  • 5+ years of design-creation of organization programs and curricula using various modalities while using e-learning as the delivery method including objective and soft skills. MicroLearning a plus
  • 5+ years of experience with learning delivery, program implementation, program evaluation, and change management principles.
  • 5+ years of experience in influencing sponsors, stakeholders, and project team members
