Position Description: 

The Identity Access Management Analyst is responsible for the daily operational administration and access control to the ATD Identity and Access Management (IAM) program. This individual creates and updates user accounts and processes requests to add, change, move or revoke access rights and to make sure that only authorized users are granted the right to use a service within agreed SLAs. This individual supports access control initiatives throughout the enterprise, predominantly employee and contractor access.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide IAM duties across the business, including Federation, Privileged Access Management, Authentication & Authorization, Security and the Provisioning of Identities.
  • Process requests for access and the addition of systems, applications or users in a timely manner, working closely with IT, Security and Compliance.
  • Keep and maintain accurate access control records, working documents and databases.
  • Create, obtain and/or maintains user access reports and system access logs and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Collect, track and report established metrics and data.
  • Identify and investigate problems or inconsistencies relating to system and application access and provide reports and resolutions.
  • Ensure system security by making sure that system access is appropriate to the defined business need.
  • Ensure access controls meet the requirements as defined by Security policy and License agreements.
  • Ensure audit, modification and revocation of access rights is carried out.  Assist with audit requests as needed.
  • Monitor unauthorized attempts to access company data and escalates threat activity to appropriate teams/management.
  • Responsible for communication, escalation, and timely resolution in event of incidents and threats caused by unauthorized access.
  • Monitor and maintain Identity and Access systems using available tools.
  • Work with vendors, admins & engineers to troubleshoot and fix Identity and Access system problems.

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience e.g. experience of working in IT and/or a customer service environment.
  • 2-5 years of experience in information technology, preferably in a Provisioning role.
  • Experience in the use of Identity Access Management products like Microsoft Active Directory, Hyena, (IAM) Microsoft Identity Manager, Okta, etc.
  • Experience with multi-site / multi-OS environments.
  • Experience with access services including access requests process.
  • Experience in a service desk environment.

Candidate Skills and Competencies


  • Knowledge in Federation, SAML, Single Sign-on, Okta or other industry standard provisioning/authentication/authorization solutions
  • Understanding of one or more of the following areas: Single Sign On, Identity Federation, Resource Provisioning, Physical Access Control Systems (PACS).
  • Working knowledge of Identity and Access Management across varied and multiple applications and systems.
  • Familiarity with Rules-based access management and basic LDAP and/or Active Directory concepts, including the interactivity of multiple data repositories.


  • Security Administration (SCAD)
    • Investigate unauthorized access events in accordance with established procedures.
    • Assist users in defining their access rights and privileges, and operate agreed logical access controls and security systems.
    • Maintain agreed identity/access records and documentation.
  • Incident Management (USUP)
    • Identify, register and categorize incidents.
    • Maintain records and advise relevant persons of actions taken.
    • Document and close resolved incidents according to agreed procedures.
  • Problem Management (PBMG)
    • Investigate problems in systems, processes and services.
    • Assist with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.
  • System Software (SYSP)
    • Use system management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics.
    • Carry out agreed system software maintenance tasks.
