Position Description: 

The e-commerce Hybris Administrator is responsible for support in implementation of new projects, upgrades, migrations and operations leading the administration and support activities operating on a Hybris platform. Responsibilities include performing technical analysis, performance tuning, designing while assuring applications deployed in production meet or exceed the production readiness standards. This role is responsible for analyzing and resolving application maintenance or production issues. The e-commerce Hybris Administrator works with developers, architects and engineers to ensure the applications are reliable, scalable and low maintenance.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for installation and maintenance of cluster based Hybris e-commerce systems
  • Exposure to the use of the Hybris backoffice, Product, CMS, Admin Cockpits to troubleshoot issues
  • Experience with apache server configuration
  • Experience with database systems including Oracle and MySQL
  • Strong understanding of tracing facilities and be able to use them to isolate issues along with Strong scripting skills
  • Provide management and support for Hybris based web and application server environments hosting multiple interactive e-commerce websites
  • Perform code deployments, upgrades and documentation for all e-commerce system processes and procedures.
  • Develop and implement code deployment process improvements to drive efficiencies and reduce errors
  • Develop and track KPIs related to code deployment
  • Fine-tune Apache webserver, PHP configuration, related software and system configuration to better support the ATD content management system
  • Create, change and delete system and user accounts as required
  • Provide Systems Tier II/other support per request from internal ticketing systems
  • Coordinate and communicate with impacted users or other Tier III teams to restore e-commerce systems and applications as required
  • Report concerns or issues to IT Operations Manager when necessary
  • Schedule OS patches and upgrades with Tier III teams on a regular basis, to upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure and add new application services as necessary
  • Maintain systems documentation to ensure audit and discovery compliance.
  • Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures
  • Research and recommend systems, tools and best-case solutions as appropriate
  • Prioritize work to ensure timely software deployments and Hybris system updates

Qualifications



Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year College or university preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in release management and change management in a production environment
  • Experience with Dynatrace and other key metric analysis tools that can optimize performance, drive improved functionality, improve conversion optimization and track improvements through core KPIs and reporting
  • Advanced Experience with e-commerce platforms, websites (B2B, B2C), etc.
  • Experience with backup and recovery processes and procedures a plus
  • Experience with e-commerce monitoring applications and systems capacity management

Preferred

  • 4+ years of experience in Systems Administration of E-Commerce platforms


Candidate Skills and Competencies

Technical

  • Ability to prioritize critical issues and respond and communicate corrective actions accordingly
  • Create and maintain production standard operation procedures (SOPs)
  • Identify and initiate process improvements (continuous improvement) 
  • Knowledge on Jenkins, Jira, Stash, Confluence, Bamboo, GIT, CVS, etc.
  • Possess strong scripting skills
  • Ability to define metrics and measurable tasks
  • Ability to effectively assess operational inefficiencies and create remediation plans
  • Knowledge of Splunk, Dynatrace or other Enterprise level e-commerce tools and applications
