Position Description:
We are looking to employ an HR Specialist with outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. An HR Specialist is expected to be a conceptual thinker with fantastic organizational and time management skills. You will have excellent administrative and IT skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

To ensure success, HR Specialist should display strong problem solving and decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee relationships, staffing management and payroll. Top candidates will be fantastic at managing conflict, effective at scheduling and thorough in the recruitment process.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
  • Formulate methods to improve employment policies, processes and practices as well as recommending changes to management.
  • Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks and preparing offer letters.
  • Facilitate associate ADAAA accommodations and meetings
  • Oversee associate disability and FMLA leaves
  • Navigate associate leaves and accommodations per FMLA and company policies
  • Assist with performance management procedures.
  • Project Management Coordination and execution.
  • Respond to Unemployment Claims by partnering internally to gather information and maintaining on-time resolution.
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
  • Support other assigned functions.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practice.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as HR Specialist
  • In-depth knowledge of human resources operations and best practices
  • Hands on experience in using MS Office, databases and HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Any additional training and certification in Human Resource Management will be considered an advantage
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Strong decision-making and problem solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
