Position Description: 

This role will be responsible for working with the Accounting, EPMO and Facilities teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Account for fixed asset projects and leases in conformity with GAAP
  • Work with the EPMO to ensure that spending had been properly approved by the respective Committee or Officer
  • Work with individual Project Managers to determine estimated costs to complete and if additional spending should be budgeted for and or approved for both capital and OPEX spending
  • Implement routine checkpoints with Management and the EPMO in order to improve CAR process.
  • Assist in forecasting both project spend and lease facility spend for cash flow planning
  • Assist with FP&A to schedule and complete post audit reviews
  • Assist the auditors on the year-end audit by providing financial statement information for both property and lease reserves.
  • Work with the DC’s and other departments to complete a year-end fiscal inventory of PP&E
  • Perform an asset impairment review no less than annually to ensure PP&E is properly valued
  • Review the reconciliation for detailed PP&E and lease reserves completed by accounting
  • Review the capitalization of labor calculations and assign to individual projects.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills in order to work with VP’s of Departments as well as project managers and project team.
  • Proficient in project management.
  • Seasoned CPA fluent in GAAP reporting requirements for PP&E and leases.
  • Assist with the implementation of the new accounting standard effective for 2020
  • Review valuation of PP&E and leases as a part of acquisition due diligence

  • CPA required
  • 6 to 10 years Industry experience dealing with fixed asset accounting
  • Degree in accounting or similar education
  • Proficient in fixed asset systems and ERP accounting.
