Position Description: 

The Compensation Analyst assists in the design, implementation, administration and ongoing evaluation of ATD’s compensation programs. The role provides subject matter expertise in base pay management, incentive/variable pay, and job analysis to support the attraction and retention of top talent. This position will consult with compensation leadership, business clients, and HR business partners to identify, develop and implement initiatives that impact compensation. This is a key role helping to build out a compensation function.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support for the compensation function including compensation plan administration, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Lead analyses associated with job evaluations, market surveys, and ad-hoc compensation requests, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Maintain salary survey database and liaise with vendors regarding salary survey participation.
  • Project manage and play a lead role on annual compensation department activities including merit planning, bonus payout, bonus and sales incentive design and implementation.
  • Establish compensation department guidelines and processes, helping to drive efficiencies in HR processes and reporting.
  • Partner with HRIS in the build-out and ongoing data integrity of Workday compensation.
  • Design, implementation, administration and ongoing evaluation of compensation programs, including base pay, management bonus and sales incentive programs.
  • Lead and assist on enterprise-wide compensation projects including building compensation framework, setting compensation strategy and establishing pay practices.
  • Ensure company compliance with federal, state and local regulations/legislation, including FLSA.

Requirements and Experience

  • Preferred Education: 4-year college or university degree
  • 3+ years of experience in compensation
  • CCP Preferred
  • Knowledge of laws as they relate to compensation and HR, including federal, state and local wage and hour regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to conduct and interpret complex analyses and provide actionable insights to guide decision making
  • Thrive in high-volume, fast-paced and feedback driven environments
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with HR systems and databases; Workday experience a plus
  • Comfort interacting with all levels of employees including Senior Management
  • Prior experience managing confidential and sensitive data
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
