Position Description: 

The Growth & Innovation (G&I) group is a catalyst for ATD’s transformation and ecosystem partner focused on: organizational growth, supporting our business units, expanding critical and differentiated offerings to our customers while ensuring best-class go-to-market strategies for our future-focus digital experiences.

G&I drives ATD’s ecommerce direct-to-consumer channels as well as our B2B platforms while focusing on delivering the best customer-centric experience in the automotive services industry. The G&I department includes ATD’s digital marketing, commercialization and retail strategy and partnerships teams.

The G&I organization is fast-paced and highly visible as the digital landscape continues to evolve and e-commerce plays a larger role in our customer’s business. ATD understands the need to innovate at the pace of change and drive agile and strategic impacts while bringing onboard thoughtful and driven individuals to help us achieve these goals. The G&I team is in constant communication with ATD’s senior management, field business leaders and transformation strategy teams. Potential opportunities for future growth within ATD include director level, VP or higher.

The Commercialization Strategy Manager is responsible for defining and executing the overall go-to-market (GTM) approach for various technology, marketing and business optimization efforts across ATD. This individual will be responsible for developing effective commercialization plans across a wide range of capabilities, coordinating efforts across the organization and ultimately driving to successful and measurable results. Responsibilities include overseeing development of the strategy and tactics to execute the GTM approach and working with the Director of Commercialization Strategy to develop specific B2B, Sales/ Retail and B2C plans.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strategize, innovate, and direct product and brand initiatives
  • Strategize go-to-market programs and features to drive business to consumers and achieve competitive advantage
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with core business units to build and commercialize tools and technology around their business unit and customer requirements
  • Assist in development of business plans and ROI models to support commercialization efforts
  • Effectively project manage and balance multiple initiatives across various lines of business
  • Conduct market research to identify and frame program and feature prioritization
  • Coordinate with Training and Change Management to support plans for product releases/launches
  • Identify consumer and sales needs, incorporating into strategy and plans
  • Create reporting and track usage, sales life, and satisfaction of programs and metrics to increase KPIs
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure we activate contractual and discretionary marketing dollars to drive ROI
  • Work with designers and copywriters to create and execute materials
  • Work with franchisees to position platforms to consumers
  • Manage projects, identifying risks and communicating to project/product stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, project management and commercialization planning
  • 3+ years of experience developing, implementing, and managing a long-term strategy on behalf of a corporate organization

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the entire marketing awareness, preference and demand generation process including market analysis, strategy development, implementation and measurement
  • Demonstrated expertise in driving large and complex projects from concept to completion
  • Possess strong project management skills, change management and the ability to manage multiple priorities with agility and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
  • Understand marketing, sales and channel communications requirements for B2B and B2C
  • Strong business acumen, self-motivated, excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to provide fact based recommendations and draw actionable insights from the analysis
  • Ability to operate within a matrix organization; working effectively across multiple groups
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and verbal & written communication skills
  • Act collaboratively in a team setting

  • Work environment:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Travel required:  Up to 15% travel throughout the U.S. and international.
