Position Description: 

The Retail Marketing team drives strategic marketing initiatives and value creation across the Tire Pros franchise network, ATD’s core customer channel. The Retail Marketing Specialist is a skilled professional who is a creative thinker, enthusiastic team player, a proactive problem solver, understands analysis and knows how to put marketing strategies in place to improve retail business. The position will be responsible for the ideation, execution and hindsight of 360-degree local marketing campaigns that support franchisee’s business objectives. You will report directly to the Marketing Strategy Manager.

The Retail Marketing Specialist supports the franchisee by advising on all marketing strategies based on business objectives, investment levels and co-op allocation, and providing final media schedules for the selected plan. The ideal candidate will work with the franchisee on establishing marketing goals, analyzing and making data-driven campaign recommendations, providing detailed performance reviews, tracking ROI, and offering suggestions for optimization throughout the campaign.

The goal is to ensure that Tire Pros marketing support to franchisees will engage retail customers and outperform our competition.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary client-facing marketing lead on designated accounts
  • Develop, deploy, manage, optimize and report on solid strategic marketing plans with both short- and long-term goals for franchisees
  • Leads research and records new franchisee marketing audit to ensure all marketing assets are reviewed during initial onboarding
  • Responsible for working with new Tire Pros franchisees on implementation of Tire Pros DBA for both online and offline footprint
  • Maintain client relationships for a sizeable book of business with direct communication to franchisee; recommending and implementing marketing strategies and media tactics aligned to business objectives
  • Provides expert information regarding promotions, branding, media channels, and other key information for marketing success. 
  • Consults with franchisees on local marketing campaigns, marketing programs, co-op programs and requirements, marketing strategy options and opportunities for campaign improvements
  • Allocate annual and monthly budgets across marketing tactics/vendors for an optimal marketing mix in market with approved budget utilizing digital and/or traditional tactics necessary to drive results
  • Analyze and utilize customer insights and research to help evolve Tire Pros brand and each franchisee’s annual marketing plan to drive desired business objectives and sales growth
  • Conduct and utilize existing market research to identify market potential and recommend viable marketing mix strategies that produce traffic, sales growth and return on investment for franchisees
  • Maintain, adjust and reconcile local marketing budgets (Ad Agreements [AA]); holding regular one-on-one communications providing franchisee with an overview of budget and accrual projections, as well as campaign performance with suggestions for campaign optimization, including spend and co-op allocation
  • Manage and coordinate all promotional campaigns and public relation activities for franchisees across multiple media channels including digital, social, SEO/SEM, broadcast, print, out of home, and sponsorship programs - providing innovative traffic-driving marketing campaigns to drive sales and increase retention
  • Ensure defined objectives are monitored and reported, and changes are made where metrics goals are not being met
  • Work directly with Retail Account Manager (RAM) and ATD distribution centers and associated staff, Director of Marketing and other executive team members to meet key strategic goals for both the Tire Pros franchisee as well as the franchise, and ATD at large
  • Work collaboratively with RAM and ATD Sales team to align on sell-in opportunities, review program goals and promotional activities for franchisees
  • Work collaboratively, exercising leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams inside the office and in the field; ensuring that communication flows efficiently and that a spirit of collaborative teamwork is maintained
  • Establish clear communication between the client and Tire Pros team/leadership as well as ATD sales team, utilizing tools such as project plans, status reports, and editorial calendars, and leading project/status meetings



Qualifications

Required

  • 3-5 years of marketing experience including digital/online
  • 3+ years in digital account management
  • Google Fundamentals/Search Certified preferred
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office – Excel (pivot tables/v-lookups), Word and PowerPoint
  • Agency experience a plus
