Position Description: 

The tire business is evolving – and so is ATD. Through our transformation we continually look for ways to greater penetrate the replacement tire market. American Tire Distributors is one of the largest independent providers of tires, supplies and custom wheels to the North American replacement tire market. ATD also runs one of the largest B2C tire e-commerce platforms (Tirebuyer.com) and operates a fast growing U.S. dealer franchise program (Tire Pros) and a recent addition in the 3PL logistics arena (Transportation and Logistics, LLC.) ATD operates more than 130 distribution centers in North America, serving approximately 80,000 customers. The company offers an unsurpassed breadth and depth of inventory, frequent delivery and value-added services to tire and automotive service customers. ATD employs approximately 4,800 employees across its distribution center network in the USA and Canada. The Supply Chain Deployment Manager will report the VP Operations. As part of the Supply Chain Center of Excellence, this position will work with senior leadership to build best practices and roll-out key supply chain initiatives to the regions.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • On-time and successful Supply Chain initiative deployment
  • Implementation of tools and best practices
  • Collaborate with leadership to define, refine and execute business strategy
  • Proactively identify opportunities for performance improvements and collaborate effectively to develop solutions
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to recommend innovative solutions to cross-functional business partners
  • Project oversight, manage activity completion to ensure timely and successful project launch
  • ELS Validation and effectively measure productivity gains
  • Creation and validation of observations (TZA/SPARK)
  • Validate reporting needs and drive drive productivity at the DC, Sub-Region, Region, and Network levels
  • Develop short team oversight to run the business activities which drive customer service excellence and bottom-line results

Requirements

  • Education:  Bachelor’s Degree or related field and 4 + years’ experience
    • Additional Project Management Certifications will be taken into consideration
  • Experience: 4+ years in Supply Chain or related business experience
    • Experience in project planning and coordination and working on projects or programs requiring the integration of cross- functional business solutions.
    • Experience using formal business process improvement methodologies.

  • Knowledge / understanding of computer applications skills: MS Project, Power BI, Visio, Project Management tools, etc.

  • High level of business acumen and solving of complex problems

  • Work environment:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Travel required: 5% of the time, travel throughout the U.S. and may require overnight stays.
