Position Description: 

Sr. Analyst of Productivity is responsible for driving the process, performance management and overall execution of the recovery program. A proven track record of being a self-motivated problem-solver who is comfortable working directly with customers, possess exceptional organizational skills, and thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

This role will require the ideal candidate to have knowledge in accounting and financial principles, legal or regulatory issues related to the use of cloud services, enterprise software such as SAP, and purchasing governance within an enterprise.

The Sr. Analyst of Productivity will be responsible for creating, implementing and sustaining the labor strategy for ATD in conjunction with the Leadership Committee and GM. The Sr. Analyst of Productivity is responsible for determining optimal mix of volume drivers to forecast labor based on current trends and historical data. They use the Company scheduling tools to ensure that labor hours are forecasted and scheduled appropriately based on volume, as well as analytics tools to engage department managers in the labor forecasting process to staff departments effectively and demonstrate a savings in the overall cost of labor at the property.

Work with Supply Chain management and other Productivity organizations to identify, develop, lead, and complete a portfolio of six to ten Lean Six Sigma and/or Cost Reduction Productivity projects of varying complexity and size per year across all aspects of ATD’s business. Develop and complete General Productivity project validation and Procurement Productivity initiatives. Conduct value stream mapping of current operational processes, identify defects, and implement process improvements. Utilize Lean Six Sigma and overall Productivity methodology and processes to improve plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), understand electricity and natural gas tariffs and how to optimize them, identify cost reduction and capital project opportunities, and increase plant profitability. Learn and demonstrate how ATD develops cost/benefit analyses, acquires capital, and executes projects. Facilitate idea generation through collaborative efforts including brainstorming, lean events, and stakeholder engagement. Implement action plans to meet the needs of the business and key stakeholders.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Program delivery control

  • Lead the weekly PO cadence and drive program governance process
  • Typical annual Productivity Savings Target portfolio of $2.5 million or more
  • Coordinate activities of segment/function PO leads to ensure universal control of recovery program
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure financial reconciliation of program impact and forecasted impact
  • Issue standard and ad hoc reports from Wave and conduct analysis as required
  • Drive cross team collaboration to surface and share best practices
  • Develop narratives that provide an effective voice for the customer to drive improvements and decision making
  • Develop best practices and methodologies for customers to optimize for costs
  • Drive improvements at ATD based on customer feedback

Support initiative delivery

  • Continuously identify initiatives roadblocks or delays, define actions needed to unblock and follow up to ensure “course correction” problem solving as needed to “get the cash”
  • Challenge the status quo and being hungry for opportunities and better results
  • Act as a problem solving partner for the business as it seeks to identify new initiatives and generate greater impact, faster
  • Break down organizational barriers to collaboration to ensure maximum value delivered
  • Support work stream teams to build the capabilities of initiative owners and others in the business

  • Continuously builds and demonstrates technical proficiency in Operations and Distribution processes and is able to apply these skills to identify and execute productivity opportunities.
  • Facilitates idea generation through collaborative efforts (e.g. brainstorming, Lean events, and stakeholder engagement).

Provide program performance transparency to management

  • Validate and ensure reporting on Wave reflects program performance and highlight exceptions to management team
  • Present/support preparation of program updates during key stakeholder meetings
  • Prepare senior leadership on Office talking points for management updates and internal communications
  • Gather insights from the business, develop opinions and present solutions to leadership, and be the advocate internally for customer experience issues
  • Understands strategic direction of business unit or division and implements action plans to meet the needs of the business and key stakeholders

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required with a preference for a finance related degree
  • 4+ years operations experience
  • 5+ years’ experience using Microsoft Excel with the ability to analyze large data sets, create financial models and simplify complex data; use of statistical principles via Minitab software or equivalent preferred
  • Extensive experience of defining, managing and delivering large scale complex business change programs
  • Well networked across ATD with a deep knowledge of each segment, function and the operating environment
  • Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to influence required.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Adept at problem solving, with sound business judgment and strong analytical skill
  • Positive and proactive process management with an eye for detail and a strong challenger mentality
  • Confident in executive level engagements
  • Green Belt training or certification preferred.
