Position Description:
As a Senior Agile Project Manager at ATD, you will be responsible for managing and delivering high-profile, strategic, cross-functional projects leveraging iterative/agile/hybrid methodologies. In this role, you will successfully influence that strategy execution and realization of the company by managing stakeholder expectations, providing strong project and program guidance and partnering with business leadership to meet project goals. You will collaborate across multiple business functions to manage IT, operational and strategic business deliverables and project outcomes. A successful candidate will be adept at forming strong working relationships with the cross-functional stakeholders, partnering to make progress against project plans by anticipating and proactively resolving project related issues, clearly communicating critical project information and mitigating risks, escalating issues appropriately.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Partner with business project leads to facilitate, manage and deliver multiple, simultaneous full life cycle projects from start to finish
- Work with strategic business partners to manage and deliver strategic programs as needed
- Identify resources needed to deliver projects/programs and collaborate with solution directors, delivery managers, product managers, scrum masters to apply resources as needed; Manage project and program-level resources plans, budgets, actuals, forecasts.
- Assist in developing a plan/roadmap by prioritizing key features and deliver value incrementally
- Develop and manage project plans in partnership with business leads and delivery teams, including deliverables, key milestones, stakeholder matrix, Agile roadmap, dependencies and schedule to meet business objectives
- Participate in scrum ceremonies; assists the team in removing impediments and coordination with other project teams
- Coordinate team activities to ensure project milestones are achieved, providing performance feedback to team members' supervisors as appropriate. Collaborate with project team to ensure alignment, transparency, and proper risk escalation
- Manage projects that include significant IT engagement and dependency, ensuring that organization technology is aligned to support overall project plans
- Manage technical and non-technical projects that include third party vendors and system integrator teams, including partnering with strategic sourcing team to assist in the request for information (RFI), vendor request for proposal (RFP) processes as needed
- Manage and mitigate project risks by identifying and analyzing trigger events, establishing contingency plans; anticipating dependencies impacted by ongoing project changes, and recommending ways to mitigate future risks
- Ensure change management plans are well developed and partner with Change Management teams to ensure plans are executed to support rollout and realization of project outcomes
- Contribute to collaborative planning and alignment with other projects and escalate potential conflicts to other teams accordingly
- Participate in leadership and key project stakeholder meetings, team development, and learning opportunities
- Ensure there’s alignment, buy-in, and support of diverse project stakeholders by building and maintaining relationships with internal customers, third party vendors, and senior management
- Provide ongoing flow of key reporting and communication to project stakeholders, leadership, steering committees
- Assist with the development and maintenance of the enterprise project portfolio, including taking part in quarterly and annual project portfolio review/planning cycles
- Identify improvement opportunities and takes the lead in implementing best practices to improve/simplify overall EPMO execution routines
- Coach, mentor junior/mid-level project managers, scrum masters

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Science or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
- 8+ Years’ experience in project/program management
- 5+ Years’ experience in facilitating, managing and delivering large, high-profile strategic projects using agile methodologies
- Experience in leading, managing team of 3+
- Significant experience collaborating with business leads and subject-matter experts to ensure successful project/program planning, management and delivery
- Significant experience managing projects requiring the integration of cross-functional business solutions and third-party system implementation partners
- Strong facilitation skills and to ensure effective communication with the business to identify needs, manage expectations and evaluate alternative solutions as required
- Experience in managing project financials
- Experience developing project schedules, milestones using Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) / sprint user story backlog
- Competency in Project Management, Change Management, Analytical Problem Solving, Customer/Partner Relationships, Product & Technology Expertise, Strategic Insight
- Project Management Certifications such as PMP, PgMP
- Agile Certifications like Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist
- Demonstrated proficiency in use of project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Daptiv, Smartsheet, Clarity), Agile tools (e.g. Jira, Version One, Confluence) and MS Office tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint, Teams)
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience using formal business process improvement methodologies
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Experience managing teams working remotely
- Experience in conducting effective virtual meetings
- Experience with fostering teamwork and motivating others to go above and beyond
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or related advance degree
- Experience in retail/tire industry
