Position Description: 

The Senior Tax Analyst will have a hands-on role in all areas of the tax department, including federal, state, and international tax provisions and compliance. This position will engage in on-going communication with other departments to assist with gathering relevant data and will perform research and analysis of projects and transactions.

Primary Responsibilities:                                              

  • Assist with the review and preparation of US federal income tax returns, including preparation of quarterly estimates and extensions and related paperwork and payment requests
  • Assist with the review and preparation of annual international income tax filings
  • Assist with the review and preparation of US informational reporting of foreign activities (Forms 5471, 1042, etc.)
  • Assist with review of quarterly and year-end income tax provision calculations (ASC 740 Income Tax)
  • Assist with federal and state income tax audits and communication with tax authorities
  • Various administrative duties (i.e. scanning files for electronic storage etc.)
  • Review the reconciliations for all income tax accounts quarterly.
  • Assist with technical tax research, assist with special projects as needed
  • Assist with the management of the annual property tax preparation and filing process, including gathering asset data.

Experience(s) that Best Prepares You:                                                                                               

  • Education:   4-year College Degree with concentration in either accounting or finance/business
  • Experience:  2-3 years tax experience in public accounting or 3-4 years tax experience in a large company

Key Competencies:

  • B.A./B.S. in Accounting, CPA Required      
  • Experience in preparing income tax provisions and returns, US GAAP accounting knowledge
  • Strong computer skills and ability to manipulate large amounts of data electronically
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel
  • Experience in extracting general ledger data from and ERP systems preferred
  • OneSource tax software experience preferred
  • BNA fixed asset software experience preferred, RIA tax research experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills, must be able to manage multiple priorities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with executive members of management
