Position Description: 

The Planning Coordinator interacts daily with the Dispatcher to coordinate outbound workload per schedule. The planner will create and release all work to the warehouse, maintaining FIFO and system upkeep.

*WEEKEND SHIFT*
Friday-Sunday

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and release all outbound work.
  • Maintain FIFO and ship accordingly.
  • Team with dispatcher to schedule extra loads based off priority and volume.
  • Review customer priority requests and communicate with the production team.
  • Compile and distribute production reports.
  • Prepare outbound paperwork.
  • Work closely with customer service & internal customers.
  • Ensuring that complete and accurate information is forwarded to the next shift.
  • Review work order reservations to ensure any unreserved products are accounted for.
  • Other reasonably related duties.
  • Perform work safely and in accordance with company and customer standards and safety regulations.

Education/Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year of experience with Warehouse Management System in multiple environments.
  • Advanced in the use Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced in the use of Microsoft Excel to log, format, and report data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service driven.
  • Strong team player.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements With or without accommodation:

Ability to follow policies and procedures. Ability to read, write and interpret information. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Ability to sit/walk/stand for up to 10 hours per day. Ability to intermittently crawl, squat, climb, twist, bend, stoop, push or pull. Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to lift/carry items less than 30 pounds
