Position Description: 

The Process Engineer will work across the organization to play an integral leadership role in establishing the ATD Continuous Improvement program with a focus on:
- Leading End-to-End Enterprise programs with focus on core business processes to deliver significant cost savings and/or revenue growth to scope and define opportunities with a strong results orientation – proven experience in Kaizen, DMAIC, DFSS methodology with a pragmatic approach for delivering business impact. Utilize process optimization and design tools to partner with Automation team and create digital workflows and automation solutions.
- Culture Shift Champion – demonstrate the behaviors that are necessary to shift a corporate culture to thinking about process simplification and improvement with business impact – ability to embrace change and lead teams through it.
- Strong Data Quality and Measurement Systems – ability to work with business units to develop customer centric data/measurement systems that support the business strategy for revenue.
- Laying the Lean Six Sigma Foundation – provide active coaching and demonstrated ability to teach principles of Lean Six Sigma to multiple target audiences from Foundational awareness to Champion to Green Belt to Executive Leadership.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Process Engineer will:

  • Identify and drive high return / high value process improvement opportunities and effectively implement to deliver ROI
  • Demonstrate a strong executive presence
  • Be a change agent & exhibit change management skills
  • Drive a culture of customer centric process excellence setting the pace of change and sharing best practices across business units
  • Demonstrate emphasis and strong experience in the leading and facilitation of Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events and utilization of Lean Six Sigma tools.
  • Develop Lean Six Sigma strategies and provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring of executives and/or project teams with DMAIC LSS projects, and Kaizen activities.
  • Must be able to lead enterprise level projects across varied business units, including areas such as Finance, Operations, Technology, Supply Chain, Risk and Marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of demonstrable experience in business process improvement using Six Sigma/Lean methodology 
  • Black Belt Certification
  • Lean Certification
  • Technical competency in Six Sigma skills: DMAIC, DFSS, Lean, Kaizen/Work-out, process management, and advanced statistical techniques
  • Previous experience in project leadership, change management, and cross functional team management
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Visio, Minitab
  • Substantiated comfort level with working across an organization without boundaries and with a sense of urgency while understanding how the people and organization function
  • Proficient at collecting performance measurements, creating dashboards and monitoring on-going performance
  • Driven to deliver on commitments, remove barriers and effectively leverage resources to deliver quality project results
