Position Description: 

The primary responsibility of the Infrastructure Engineer is to handle the local area network, wide area network and HPUX systems and to ensures IT’s Infrastructure meets the need of the business, responsible for architect Network plans and implements the overall strategic goals of an organization's network system and engineer Network plans and implements the overall strategic goals of an organization's network system. also deploy Network plans and implements the overall strategic goals of an organization's network system and will also maintain, tests, monitors and troubleshoots hardware and software problems pertaining to LAN/WLAN.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Architect Network plans and implements the overall strategic goals of an organization's network system, engineer Network plans and implements the overall strategic goals of an organization's network system, deploy Network plans and implements the overall strategic goals of an organization's network system, maintain, tests, monitors and troubleshoots hardware and software problems pertaining to LAN/WLAN, supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots hardware and software problems pertaining to HPUX System and it Disk Sub-system(s).
  • Manages all network security systems for LAN/WAN
  • Sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external networks.
  • Reviews, plans, and evaluates network systems. Provides documentation/project tracking and management reporting. Provides tactical and strategic input on overall network planning and related projects.
  • Troubleshoots network performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan, recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
  • Keep abreast of new design tools, hardware, software, and technology and make recommendations for future deployment.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Customer satisfaction, accomplishment of IT objectives and execution of goals.
  • Delivery on projects and service level delivery.

Experience(s) that Best Prepares You:                                    

  • Education:  Minimal associate degree in IS
  • Experience: Must have 2+ years’ experience in IT Infrastructure.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Company, in its discretion may find appropriate and acceptable.

Key Competencies:

  • Experience with UNIX/Linux
  • Experience with Cisco Router, Switches, Firewall
  • Experience with backup and recovery experience.
  • Experience with EMC and HP Disk Sub-system.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server, Microsoft Windows
  • Knowledge of VMware server virtualization.
  • Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks.
  • Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
  • Ability to be proactive and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge of the use of a personal computer and/or laptop.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
