Position Description: 

Reporting to the Director of Automation Engineering, the Manager of Information Management will lead a team of specialists providing enterprise-wide support for information processes and technologies. This individual will work across lines of business to define requirements, functional design flows, and develop procedures and policies for the capture, entry, access, transmission, and retention of information assets. This person will help translate business models into technical requirements collaborating closely with Information Technology and Data Management partners to design, configure, and optimize data models and information systems.

The Manager of Information Management will foster relationships with stakeholders and encourage the involvement of business partners to ensure the adoption of transformational practices, reduce time-consuming manual processes, and provide subject matter expertise on the functional design and execution of new or re-engineered solutions. This individual will promote the proliferation of centralized streamlined processes, digital transformation, information literacy, and standardization.

The Manager of Information Management must be able to effectively lead and contribute to projects that improve business information maturity. This individual will work with business, technology, data, and operations partners to provide functional expertise on the implementation, enhancement, and management of information systems such as Oracle ERP EBS, Hyland OnBase ECM, and EnterWorks PIM & MDM.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Data Management

  • Lead and develop a team of specialists to build and manage workflows for entering, updating, and querying information including Customer, Supplier, Employee, Product, Programs, Pricing, and other domains.
  • Assure business and data models are documented, maintained, and optimized using standardized language and best practices.

Content Management

  • Lead and develop a team of specialists to build and manage workflows for capturing, digitizing, cataloging, preserving, and distributing documents including Invoices, Proof of Delivery, Contracts, Credit Agreements, and other assets.
  • Lead and contribute to initiatives that increase integration, awareness, and adoption of centralized resources and standardized practices.

Exchange Management

  • Lead and develop a team of specialists to build and manage workflows for the transmission and sharing of information with employees, customers, suppliers, and other parties via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Secure File Transfer Protocols (SFTP), Web Portals, Email, and other methods.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate exchange of information by monitoring and managing in and outbound transmissions, including return and validation information, and working with stakeholders and technology partners on the setup, maintenance, and testing of solutions.

Leadership and Governance

  • Maintain forward-looking vision on upcoming trends, risks, and opportunities, acting preemptively to assure business continuity and competitiveness.
  • Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities that foster cross-functional knowledge and skills and encourage a flexible, adaptable, and resilient team.
  • Ensure information quality and accuracy are maintained by continuously monitoring and enforcing access, compliance, legal, retention, archiving, and destruction policies.
  • Ensure requests for research, configuration, and data entry are resolved quickly and accurately, escalating as appropriate to leadership and business partners.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness, solve business problems, and eliminate non-value-added work activities through process improvement and better application or use of new technologies.

Qualifications

Required

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance/Accounting, or a related subject, or pursuit of a degree, or comparable work experience
  • Information Systems Knowledge:
    • Extensive functional experience with ERP systems such as Oracle EBS (E-Business Suite)
    • Strong understanding of relational data models and transactional systems
    • Experience with Content / Document management solutions such as OnBase
    • Experience or familiarity with electronic information exchanges such as EDI
  • Previous experience in project leadership, change management, and cross-functional team management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and directions
  • Proven ability to recruit, grow, and develop teams within a complex organization
  • Demonstrated success managing competing requirements and needs between stakeholders
  • Deliver on commitments, remove barriers and effectively leverage resources to deliver results
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred

  • Expertise with Oracle EBS' Trading Community Architecture
  • Understanding of Oracle EBS’ modules including:
    • General Ledger
    • Accounts Receivables
    • Accounts Payables
    • Cash Management
    • System Administration
    • Warehouse Management
    • Bills of Material
    • Inventory
    • Purchasing
    • Order Management
    • Advanced Pricing
    • eCommerce Gateway
  • Experience with SQL or other programming languages for data extraction and analysis
  • Familiarity with OCR, AI Computer Vision, and other document digitization technologies
  • Knowledge of EDI standards and other transmission protocols
