Position Description: 

Reporting to the Regional Distribution Center – Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for the scheduling, coordination and execution of repairs and preventative maintenance within the Regional Distribution Center. Attention to detail and focus on safety will be critical in this role.

Primary Responsibilities:                               

  • Responsible for performing periodic maintenance, corrective repair, replacement and limited troubleshooting on various facility-related equipment and/or systems, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire safety, in accordance to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes.
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.
  • Responsible for logging time and materials, maintaining work orders, PMs and inventory tracking. Maintain spare parts inventory, order replacements, and prepare routine updates to maintenance records and reports.
  • Support a variety of maintenance projects related to operational improvements and preventative maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Perform required tasks in accordance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures, rules, and safety procedures.
  • Communicate regularly with management to ensure that all equipment is in working order and the Company maintains a safe work environment.
  • Oversee contractors when professional repairs are necessary, including the scheduling, coordination and sign-off on the work being performed. 
  • Perform other general maintenance tasks as assigned.

Experience(s) that Best Prepares You: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible varied experience in building construction, repair, and maintenance in more than one of the following areas: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and painting; 
  • Or, combination of education, training and work experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this role

  • Physical Demands:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, site, and weather conditions prevalent at the time.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Travel Required: N/A
