Position Description:
Main focus - Work with business partners, learning & development and subject matter experts to develop, curate and/or select learning content, and implement, maintain, and measure learning/performance solutions. The Learning Architect will consult with subject matter experts to identify new development needs, analyze and recommend solutions. Successful candidates should be comfortable in taking lead to work with clients, collaborate across the organization, and leverage leading edge design and learning technologies.
Area of Focus: Sales and Service development
Key Activities
- Utilize performance-consulting techniques to engage with the business and determine performance gaps
- Apply leading edge L&D methods and processes to define learning requirements that start by considering the experience of the modern worker.
- Utilize or develop a variety of instructional design approaches that improve effectiveness of ATD workforce and can be scaled for organization wide learning capacity.
- Design/create or curate learning curricula -. Experienced with virtual/ e-learning as the delivery method. Micro-Learning experience preferred.
- Manage across priorities to complete projects in collaboration with others on time and with limited supervision.
- Review and assess reporting and KPI analytics, gather analysis obtained from training programs including synthesizing training feedback to make recommendations on learning solution improvement.
- Design and Administer in LMS (learning management systems)
- Continually cultivate knowledge and understanding of how ATD operates holistically to make effective judgments and timely decisions for learning outcomes.
- Has knowledge and/or passion for the content of leadership & professional development (e.g. teaming, coaching, self awareness building etc)
- Experience training and facilitating across a variety of modalities, to include virtual, in person and blended learning formats.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from 4-year College or university in Education; Instructional Design; Learning & Development, Organizational Development; Human Resources; Business or related experience.
- Experience with instructional design (e.g. ADDIE, SAM) with application of adult learning theory demonstrated in instruction design techniques. Preference is HPT Performance Consulting model.
- 4 to 6 years of learning curricula design/creation using various modalities. Experienced with virtual/ e-learning as the delivery method. Micro-Learning experience preferred.
- 4 to 6 years of experience with learning delivery, program implementation, program evaluation, and change management with experience influencing sponsors, stakeholders across a range of levels
- Strong collaboration and project management skills, including planning and organizing with the ability to multi-task, meet project deadlines with attention to detail.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Design thinking background: data-driven, learner-centered researcher; concept prototyping; define and analyze metrics; apply insights to improve programs and solutions.
- Experience in authoring tools and developing modern, digital learning pathways and blended learning approaches, including micro-learning
- 4+or more years of experience in the following authoring and editing tools:
- Computer based training software — Advanced level of knowledge of professional design tools, Articulate 360 Suite (Storyline, Rise, Replay and Peek); Micro-Learning design focused.
- Desktop publishing software — Adobe InDesign
- Graphics or photo imaging software — Adobe Creative Cloud, Illustrator, Photoshop; Techsmith Snagit
- Video creation and editing software — Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition; Vyond; Techsmith Camtasia
- Data and Measurement – Microsoft Excel with familiarity with basic and intermediate formulas for reporting and analysis such as pivot tables.
- Learning Management –LMS architecture and deployment knowledge.
- Microlearning experience; Axonify system administrator knowledge a plus.
