Position Description: 

The Enterprise Architecture Analyst provides support for the development and update of Enterprise Architecture and for developing and maintaining enterprise IT policies. The Analyst insures that EA processes are effectively documented, communicated and tracks compliance by the rest of the organization. The Analyst is responsible for maintaining and enhancing architecture process delivery as it relates to Architecture Review and Technology Assurance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update ATD’s Enterprise Architecture Strategic Plan and work with Solution and Enterprise Architects to keep plans current and relevant.
  • Coordinate and oversee Architecture Governance Processes.  This includes the weekly architecture forum, Architecture Review Board, Technology Assurance Process, Solution Architecture Peer Review, etc.  Develops agendas, notes, action plans and follows up items.
  • Establish key stakeholder management for all enterprise architecture governance process and receive feedback from key stakeholder on the refinement and further development of the EA process to provide tangible benefits to the organization. 
  • Implement the architecture governance process as a repeatable step for the architects across the organization to evaluate the various major architecture decision for the key programs/projects and establishing technology standards.
  • Develop communication management plan to accomplish the objective of the key stakeholders to be well informed on the architecture decisions for the key programs and major technology standards.
  • Establish metrics that can be readily captured from our current processes and express them in terms of business value and compliance to the EA process.  Develops appropriate reporting and communication plans to relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and update the EA objects and relationships in the EA tool to reflect the changes to as is and target architectures and transition plan.
  • Develop enterprise IT policies and related processes and for maintaining/modifying the IT policy roadmap.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education.
  • Demonstrable experience as a lead business analyst, project manager or program manager
  • Experience in the implementation of structured design and architecture processes in a corporate environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to assert ideas and gain support and commitment from others.  Excellent analytical skills. Strong decision-making skills.
  • Ability to recognize priorities and guide others towards the accomplishment of business goals and objectives.


  • Experience in full development life cycle and significant experience in delivering applications and architecture services in a production environment.
  • The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) certification.

  • Possess understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design.
  • Understand basic information technologies and system architectures. Understands how legacy and web-based systems interface with each other.
  • Knowledge of IT assets – CapEx, depreciation, maintenance, labor, and TCO.

    • Provide organizational leadership and guidelines to promote the development and exploitation of enterprise knowledge in the organization.

    • Build long-term, strategic relationships with senior business and IT stakeholders across the organization.
    • Communicate and share the architectural vision and roadmaps to all levels across the organization.
  • Emerging Technology Monitoring (EMRG)
    • Coordinate the identification and assessment of new and emerging hardware, software, and communication technologies, products, methods, and techniques.
    • Evaluate likely relevance of these for the organization.
  • Strategic Sourcing (SORC)
    • Undertake strategic analysis, including research into technology vendors, markets and product and service categories, to inform and develop commercial strategy and sourcing plans.
    • Clarify specifications for key products and services.
