Position Description:
American Tire Distributors (ATD) is the nation’s largest tire distributor, serving a broad range of customers from over 100 distributions centers across the United States and Canada, supported by a rapid delivery network, dedicated sales specialists, state-of-the-art logistics programs, and an industry leading technology platform.
We are looking for a 2024 Summer Intern to join our team! This is a hybrid internship which will require you to report onsite to our Huntersville, NC office approximately 3 days a week. As part of the most digitally connected and insightful team in the automotive solutions industry, you’ll have the opportunity to supercharge your skills in ATD’s Data & Analytics department. The department specializes in Data Science (DS), Business Intelligence (BI), and Decision Intelligence (DI), connecting the enterprise with data-driven decisioning.
The core of the project involves rebuilding script-based automations, written in Python and executed via Robotic Process Automation (RPA) bots, into modern decisioning workflows developed on Palantir’s Foundry platform. This is a full-stack development assignment including developing the necessary data pipelines, ontology objects and actions, and user interfaces (UI) such as a workshop/webapp.

- Travel required: Dependent on Internship Area. Travel to the Field Support Center will be required, along with periodic assignment to distribution centers.
