Position Description: 

The Category Analytics Manager will own and drive a full suite of analytics products supporting ATD’s entire portfolio. This position will manage product master, DMO and Torqata platforms and reports to ensure that inputs, outputs and models are both accurate, timely and highly effective. This person will work closely with the Category Management team to drive insights, prepare for product line reviews, and deliver actionable intelligence for GMROI optimization. This role will manager and synthesize the vendor scorecard, lead strategic discussions around category performance with Sr. Leadership, be responsible for monthly reporting package, and will shape the category strategy by finding insights and industry trends.




Requirements Management  

Identify, elicit and document user/project requirements using appropriate modeling technique if required. Analyze requirements and validate with original users, eliminating confusion. Outline verification criteria to ensure requirements are met. Maintain documentation and traceability throughout project. 


Data Collection and Analysis  

Collate and analyze data using pre-set tools, methods and formats. Involves working independently. 


Database Specifications  

Provide information and comments on suitability during approval process for database specifications to ensure all agreed standards and protocols are followed and data integrity is preserved. 


Analysis of "As Is" and "To Be"  

Support and contribute to the documentation of "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required. 


Business Requirements Identification  

Support collection of business requirements using document analysis and workflow analysis to express requirements clearly and succinctly. 


Feasibility Studies  

Contribute to and support feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective, and document findings. 


Horizon Scanning  

Explore and develop a basic understanding of external developments or emerging issues. 


Enterprise Business Analysis  

Identify opportunities for process or procedural improvement and design improved solution alternatives. 


Business Case  

Contribute information and analysis to support the development and review of business cases. 


Documentation and Back up  

Create and maintain complex technical and/or user documentation to a high standard and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur. 


Culture of Innovation  

Support a culture of innovation by contributing to solutions that boost creativity, innovation, and collaboration, such as supporting in setting up and monitoring idea generation platforms, jam sessions, and hackathons. 


Personal Capability Building  

Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Works at an advanced level to interpret, contribute to, or lead business case creation with client departments to quantify current costs, justify project investment, and identify the return on investment. Typically works independently and provides guidance. 


Business Requirements Analysis 

Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on analyzing the business requirements. Determine acceptance and evaluation criteria, Prioritization, Observation, Focus groups, Analysis Skills 



Perform Gap Analysis 

Works at an advanced level to conduct gap analysis between current and future states to identify components of the overall change strategy. Typically works independently and provides guidance. 


Planning and Organizing 

Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on planning, organizing, prioritizing and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives. 


Requirements Elicitation and Facilitation 

Works with full competence to lead facilitated sessions for requirements elicitation, focus groups, and user acceptance testing. Typically works without supervision and may provide technical guidance. 


Verbal Communication 

Applies comprehensive knowledge to act independently while providing guidance and training to others on using clear and effective verbal communications skills to express ideas, request actions and formulate plans or policies.
