Position Description: 

The Billing & Claims Analyst will be responsible for generating and processing invoices monthly for select customers, reviewing billing exceptions and assist with overall dispute and claims management.

Key Responsibilities: 

Will work closely in all aspects of the billing and claims processes. Assist with implementation of Sidetrade order to cash platform.  Support the off shore team in daily task required for both of these processes. Support data related to automation, ETL and dynamic data transfers such as API. 

Billing Processes - 50%

  • Maintain rate changes and all documentation needed to accurately process invoices
  • Reconciling of payments received and working closely with cash application team for proper application
  • Coordinate internal credits being received, working with internal partners to assure accuracy for proper processing. Maintain and update multiple sets of documents that are used in the process of billing for new customers that are onboarded
  • Assist in preparing monthly reporting that will be provided to senior management for monthly credit reviews
  • Prepare monthly accruals for accounting month end close. In addition to the above, you will be required to work closely with Supply Chain on Container orders, Wheels orders, which includes reviewing purchase orders against sales orders, along with confirming invoice accuracy
  • Initiates and supports projects, initiatives, solutions, and other change management
  • Presents information, analysis, and updates to varying levels and types of audiences
  • Ability to multi-task as well as manage, communicate, and reset priorities amidst completing incoming ad hoc requests with short deadlines

Claims processes - 40%

  • Will work to resolve any issues that arise for various claim/deduction activities
  • Research data received to determine specific reason for the deduction i.e.: Pricing, quantity discrepancies, proof of deliveries and overpayments
  • Will work closely with the offshore team to create better understanding of how to resolve claim processing and settlements.  Will utilize the claims management tool and vendor portals to create reporting to compare and resolve discrepancies between customer and ATD.

Process Improvement - 10%

  • Provides recommendations by performing analysis of operational, production, financial, and other data
  • Will provide necessary input for overall processes and activities to reduce deductions and claim activity year over year.  Assist in leveraging any tools necessary to enhance the overall process

Experience and Education: 

  • Experience:  Minimum 3 years of related experience 
  • Education:  Minimum High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree
