Position Description: 

As an Agile Project Manager at ATD, you will be responsible for managing and delivering strategic cross-functional projects leveraging iterative/agile/hybrid methodologies. Your influence will be founded in managing stakeholder expectations, strong project leadership and providing guidance to project teams, partnership with business leadership to meet project goals. You will work across multiple business areas to manage IT, operational and strategic business deliverables. You will form a strong working relationship with the cross-functional stakeholders, partnering to resolve project related issues, providing project status updates, mitigating risks, and escalating issues and concerns appropriately.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage full life cycle enterprise strategic projects from start to finish
  • Manage project scope, schedules, financials - budgets, actuals, forecasts
  • Develop and manage project plans by partnering with delivery managers, product managers, scrum masters, and business leads
  • Manage project risks, issues, key decisions, impediments; Mitigate project risks by identifying and analyzing trigger events, establishing contingency plans
  • Collaborate with other project teams to identify and align on dependencies
  • Partner with Enterprise Change Management team to ensure development and execution of organizational change management plans
  • Partner with strategic sourcing team to assist in the request for information (RFI), vendor request for proposal (RFP), Statement of Work (SOW) efforts as needed
  • Ensure there’s alignment, buy-in, and support of diverse project stakeholders by building and maintaining relationships with internal customers, third party vendors, and senior management
  • Coordinate team activities to ensure project milestones are achieved
  • Provides weekly status/monthly reports and communicates with project stakeholders, leadership, steering committee
  • Lead project stakeholder and steering committee meetings
  • Serve as scrum master where applicable and coordinate agile scrum ceremonies/routines
  • Identifies improvement opportunities and takes the lead in implementing best practices to improve/simplify overall EPMO execution routines

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Science or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
  • 6+ Years’ experience in project management
  • 4+ Years’ experience in delivering projects using agile methodologies
  • Significant experience in managing large strategic cross-functional projects requiring strong leadership and relationship management with both project and business leaders
  • Experience in project planning and coordination and working on projects requiring the integration of cross-functional business solutions and third-party system implementation partners
  • Competency in Project Management, Change Management, Analytical Problem Solving, Customer/Partner Relationships, Product & Technology Expertise, Strategic Insight
  • Project Management Certifications such as PMP, PgMP
  • Agile Certifications like Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist
  • Experience managing project teams working remotely and conducting effective virtual meetings
  • Experience in managing project financials
  • Experience developing project schedules, milestones using Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)/User Stories/Epics
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in use of project management tools such as MS Project, Daptiv, Smartsheet, Clarity
  • Proficiency in Agile tools - Jira, Version One, Confluence
  • Demonstrated proficiency in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint, Teams
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or related advance degree
  • Experience in retail/tire industry
